Airtel broadband, fixed line service in 94 cities

Kolkata, Apr 23: Airtel will target the Small and Medium Enterprise(SME) segments in 94 ciites across the country to offer its broadband and fixed line servies.

Addressing the press here, Bharati Airtel Lmt CEO Manoj Kohli today said, ''We want to provide a complete SME vertical through broadband, datalink-leased lines, fixed line, wireless and mobility, and national and international long distance calls.

''We want to capture three-fourth of the total SME market in those 94 cities, including Kolkata,'' he added.

Airtel today launched its broadband and fixed line sevices in the city, which is the beginning of a national roll-out.

Airtel has tied up with Nortel to bring a complete data-converged voice, mobility, and security portfolio, designed specifically for the SMBs (Small and Medium Busiesses).

East is a major market and the SMB segment play a major role here.
