Two smugglers gets imprisonment

Bettiah, Apr 22 (UNI) A fasttrack court of additional district and sessions judge Virandra Singh awarded 15 years imprisonment to two smugglers and slapped a fine of Rs 1.5 lakh on each of them in West Champaran district yesterday.

Those who had been punished include a truck driver of Rajasthan Mahendra Singh and cleaner Guddu Nai. Both were found guilty of smuggling Nepali opium (ganja).

As per the case both were caught by the custom department on July 15, 2002 for smuggling ganja.
