Two killed, one wounded in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 22 (UNI) Two people were killed and another was wounded in separate incidents across the Kashmir valley since last evening, police said today.

They said a person, identified as Somdutt of Hamirpur Hira Nagar in Kathua district of Jammu region, was found dead inside a truck at Sesman on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway this morning.

Police have registered a case in this connection and initiated proceedings under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of death.

In another incident, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, a resident of Pakhtoon Mohalla Cherpora in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, today committed suicide by hanging himself.

The cause behind this extreme step by the 18-year-old-boy was being ascertained. Police have registered a case in this regard.

Shoaib Ahmad Malik was wounded when a truck hit him near his house at Tikker Kupwara last night. He was hospitalised.
