TRS 'positive' on Telangana issue

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 22 (UNI) Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) Senior Leader A Narendra today exuded confidence the UPA would take a 'positive' decision on formation of Telangana after Uttar Pradesh election results were announced.

Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Narendra said the Congress was observing political developments in the country in the wake of the UP elections.

''The Congress needs the support of small political parties to survive at the Centre. It will change its stand on seperate Telangana immediately after the UP elections in which the party will face a major debacle.'' He also said the TRS would support the UPA if the Congress was ready to form Telangana state.

The TRS had withdrawn its support to the Centre last year for not making its stand clear on Telangana.
