Swati Group chalks out mega expansion plans

Ahmedabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Gujarat-based Swati Group of Companies, one of the leading Switchgear Manufacturers in the country, today announced the launch of its new diversified unit to cater the requirement of Medium Voltage Segment.

They will able to manufacture panels from 3.3 KV to 33 KV voltage system for domestic and international markets.

Vikram Shah, Director of Swati Group and High Volt Power and Control System, after inaugurating the new unit said ''We are witnessing an exciting growth phase in the power industry as the power target is estimated to be about 2.5 lakh MW by 2012. In order to cater to the phenomenal and ever-increasing demand of MV panels, we have decided to expand into larger and dedicated manufacturing facilities.'' He said his group company is also actively present in the field of automation systems and solutions for various industries like steel, petrochemicals, fertilizer, refineries, textiles, engineering and water and power utilities.

Expressing the export opportunity, Mr Shah said ''We plan to enter into export markets of Gulf countries, South East Asian countries and East African countries and set up new marketing offices by March 2008. Over 30 per cent of the production will cater to international markets.'' He said the group has already manufactured all kinds of LT Panels like PCC, MCC Relay and Control Panels, Auto Synochronizing panels with SCADA systems and MV Panels in the past and that the new diversified unit has been assigned a status of authorised system house by M/s ABB Limited for their medium voltage products and automation products.
