Six drown in two rivers in Karnataka
Bangalore, Apr 22 (UNI) Six people, including three boys drowned in Cauvery and Bhima rivers in Karnataka when they went for swimming.
Police said three youths drowned in Cauvery river in Muthatti forest area in Mandya district. The bodies were yet to be recovered.
They were among 12 friends who went for a picnic by the river side yesterday night.
In the other incident, three boys drowned in river Bhima when they went for a swim at Ankal village in Gulbarga district, last night.
In a similar incident yesterday eight children, including six girls in the age group of nine to 12 years, drowned in two different mishaps in the state.
