Railway security forces recover stolen articles

Samastipur, Apr 22 (UNI) A joint team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Rail police (GRP) today recovered goods worth Rs 5 lakh which were stolen from the Jannayak Express last night.

RPF sources said that acting on a tip off, raids were carried at the residences of Ramsewak and Mahesh Ram in Shrirampur Ayodhya village under Pusa police station. The stolen electronic gadgets and clothes were recovered from there.

Two persons -- Soni Devi Neetan Kumari and Babita Kumari -- were also arrested in this connection and were being interrogated by the police, the sources added.

The criminals had stolen the articles by breaking the seal of the break-van of the train on Samastipur-Muzaffarpur rail route under Samastipur division, the sources added.
