PSEB approaches PSERC to grant permission for power cuts
Patiala, Apr 22 (UNI) The Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) has approached the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) to give permission to the Board to impose six hours power cuts in the state due to the growing demand of power.
Official sources said here today that since the demand for power increases in the summer season, PSEB has approached PSERC for permission for imposing power cuts. PSEB has also conveyed its decision to the state government.
Meanwhile PSERC has sought objections from the general public till April 30 on the request of the Board and will thereafter give its opinion on the duration of power cuts.
