Pre-monsoon active in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 22 (UNI) The pre-monsoon in Kerala was active with rain or thundershowers occurring at most places in the state during the past 24 hours.

However, dry weather prevailed over Lakhsadweep, local weather office said.

Kochi Airport, Thrissur and Thodupuzha received a maximum rainfall of four cm each followed by Thiruvananthapuram City and Perinthamanna with two cm each and Kannur one cm.

Kannur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36 degree celsius, it said.

Rain will occur at most places in Kerala and Lakshadweep in the next 48 hours.
