One policeman killed and four injured in landmine explosion

Giridih, Apr 22 (UNI) One policeman was killed and four others, including CRPF personnal, were injured in a landmine explosion, triggered by maoist ultras in Jharkhand's Giridih district today.

Suprintendent of Police Arun Singh said the ultras were targetting a van carrying security forces, who were returning from a public awareness camp, organised at the Chinkiro village.

Choukidar Ghuran Ram died on the sot while the injured included Dumpri police station Sub-Inspector(SI) R K Diwedi, a Central Reserve Police Force SI T N Ojha, jawans S K Rai and Ramesh Kumar who were admitted to Bokaro General Hospital.
