Man shot dead, murderer lynched by villagers

Barasat, Apr 22 (UNI) An irate mob today lynched a miscreant when he was trying to escape after killing a man at Khaspara area under Habra police station in North 24 Parganas.

Police said the miscreant shot dead a person following an old enmity.

The incident enraged the villagers who lynched the killer.

However, the exact reason of the murder was yet to be ascertained, police added.

Meanwhile, both bodies had been sent for post-mortem.

So far none had been arrested in this connection.
