missile
fired
from
an
Israeli
aircraft
hit
a
car
in
the
northern
Gaza
Strip
today,
killing
one
Palestinian
militant
and
wounding
another,
local
residents
said.
The
Israeli
army
was
checking
the
details
of
the
report.
Militants
said
the
men
in
the
car
belonged
to
the
Islamic
Jihad
militant
group.
The
residents
said
the
car
was
probably
leaving
an
area
from
which
rockets
had
earlier
been
fired
into
Israel.
The
Israeli
army
said
three
rockets
had
been
fired
into
Israel
from
the
Gaza
Strip
and
that
one
had
landed
on
a
house
in
the
border
town
of
Sderot.
An
Israeli
ambulance
service
said
two
people
in
Sderot
had
been
taken
to
hospital
and
were
being
treated
for
light
injuries.
Local
residents
said
four
others,
including
a
pregnant
woman,
were
being
treated
at
the
scene
for
shock.
The
militant's
death
in
Gaza
followed
Israel's
killing
of
four
Palestinians
in
the
occupied
West
Bank
earlier
today,
three
of
them
militants.
The
rocket
fire
on
Sderot
came
as
a
response
to
the
killings,
militant
groups
said.
