India, China must work together for progress: Binggou
Udhagamandalam, Tamil Nadu, Apr 22 (UNI) Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Binggou today said both India and China should work together for their progress.
Talking to newspersons here after visiting the Botanical Gardens along with National Security Advisor M K Narayanan, Mr Binggou said both the countries having ancient civilisation should remain good neighbours and the ongoing tenth round of talks should achieve the desired goal of settling the issues amicably.
Many Indians were working in China and over 500 Chinese students pursuing studies at different engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
He also appealed to the media to help both the countries in maintaining cordial relationship.
Mr Narayanan said both the sides were keen to resolve the border issue amicably and some positive developments were witnessed during the ongoing talks. A joint statement would be issued in New Delhi tomorrow.
