Kolkata: IFA president Aditya Kashyap dies
Kolkata, Apr 22: IFA president Aditya Kashyap died at a city nursing home last night following protracted illness. He was 60.
Mr Kashyap, who was a bachelor, was instrumental in bringing Nehru Gold Cup in India during his tenure as Tata Steel Executive Director.
An avid lover of soccer, he took over as the president of IFA last year and immediately announced his plan for the revival of Gold Cup.
After retiring from Tata Steel, he formed a company "Mover Limited", that was involved in the Shipping Industry.
He was also the president of Bengal Club.
IFA Secretary Subrata Dutta told UNI that it was a rude shock to the soccer fraternity and condoled his death.
He had been sick for the past three days and was admitted to a city nursing home.
