Hardoi/Unnao, Apr 22: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today claimed that he did not believe in hollow promises and all vows in the party election manifesto would be implemented within 24 hours of resuming power in the state. ''I do not lie my way out of something and voters know it well,'' Mr Yadav said while addressing election meetings in Hardoi and Unnao districts. ''In terms of principles, SP is the strongest faction,'' he maintained.

The former defence minister stressed on 'common education for all' while raising the slogan, ''Nirdhan ho ya dhanwan, sabki shiksha ek samaan (whether rich or poor, education should be equal for all).'' Free medical treatment and free education were the prime motives of SP, while if given a chance to resume power, sustained efforts would be made to waive loans of the state's farmers, the party chief asserted.

He added, ''after coming back to power, the unemployed would be employed and the amount of unemployment allowance would be increased from Rs 500 to 15,000.'' Criticising the BSP poll manifesto, the Chief Minister charged, ''it is a big joke. The manisfesto is a slur to the society.

Mayawati has an old habit of lying through her teeth.'' Terming BJP's election manifesto as ''communal'', he alleged that the party was trying to sow seeds of communal disharmony in the society. ''But all its efforts will turn futile with SP resuming the UP power.''
