Four killed in bomb explosion
Sagar, MP, Apr 22 (UNI) Four people were killed and three injured today when explosive material kept in a jeep exploded at Karrapur village in this district, police said.
The blast was so powerful that victims' body parts were found strewn over 40-50 feet away from the site. A house in the vicinity was also badly damaged and the jeep's parts were scattered. Some people were hurt by flying stones.
Baheria Station House Officer K K Sharma said a jeep, containing dynamite, detonator and other explosive material, suddenly exploded at Sitaram Soni's house at 0900 hrs today.
The reason behind the explosion was yet to be ascertained.
Terror spread in the village following the incident. The explosive belonged to a license-holder, Dulichand Singh.
Police said the blast could have been bigger, as a nearby room also contained some explosives, which did not explode.
Two deceased were identified as Chhotu Patel (Sagar) and Gopal Vishwakarma (Majhganva). The injured were admitted to district hospital.
