Fake currency racket busted; three arrested

Gulbarga, Apr 22 (UNI) Police today busted a fake currency racket with the arrest of three persons here and seizure of Rs 35,000 worth counterfeit notes, computers, printer and other electronic gadgets used to print the notes.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural) S S Nayak told UNI that police raided the house of one Chand Pasha and effected the seizure.

Based on Pasha's information, two of his accomplices, Eeranna and Masthan, were nabbed from Magam at Humnabad in Bidar district.

He said the trio had been circulating fake currency in Rs 100 denomination in Gulbarga and Sholapur in Maharashtra.
