Raipur, Apr 22 (UNI) Naxals have released two relatives of Bastar Development Authority Vice-Chairman and BJP MLA Vikram Usendi in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, police said today.

Naxals, affiliated with the Koyalibela Dalam, had abducted Mr Usendi's uncle Madhav and nephew Suman from his native village Surangi on April 19. The ultras had placed several demands for releasing the abducted.

However, both returned to their homes yesterday night.

Police claimed that naxals released the duo on their own without any discussions or assurances provided to them.

Police would take further action after questioning both the abducted.

Mr Usendi had gone to Antagarh forests yesterday in a bid to get his relatives released. However, he returned later.
