'BJP will get majority; Kalayan to form govt'
Jaunpur, Apr 22: Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha national president Vinod Pandey today said the alliance of Apana Dal, BJP and JD(U) will get a majority in the UP Assembly elections and Mr Kalyan Singh will form the new government in the state.
''There is a strong BJP undercurrent in UP. The party is in a good position after an alliance with the AD and the JD(U). I am sure that Mr Kalyan Singh would be the next Chief Minister,'' Mr Pandey said while addressing newspersons here.
The Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress are afraid of BJP's growing popularity and, therefore, unnecessarily ''training guns at us'', he said.
Mr Pandey criticised the Congress-led UPA Government at Centre and the SP-led UP government for their ''false strategies'' and runaway inflation.
