Bangalore records heavy rain
Bangalore, Apr 22 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Bangalore City and Haveri recorded heavy rainfall of 8 and 7 cm respectively.
Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Bangalore Airport, Sakleshpura 5 each, T.G.Halli, Hoskote 4 each, Ramanagara and Channapatna 3 each, H.D.Kote, Thondebhavi 2 each, Honavar, Panambur, Madikeri, Chitradurga 1 each. Maximum temperatures rose at many places being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka however below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.
Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 39.9 degree celcius over the State.
Forecast valid until the Tuesday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of SouthInterior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
Forecast for Bangalore: Partly cloudy. Rain/thunder showers likely towards evening/night in some areas. Maximum temperature would be around 33 degree celsius.
