Anna Hazare's jeep stolen in Hingoli

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 21 (UNI) Anti-corruption crusader and social worker Anna Hazare's jeep has been stolen at Aundha Nagnath in Hingoli district.

The incident came to light in the wee hours today, police sources said.

The driver of the jeep had parked the vehicle in the premises of the guest house at Aundha Nagnath last night, where Mr Hazare had addressed a gathering of villagers as part of his tour campaign in Hingoli district to create awareness about the Right to Information Act.

He had last seen the vehicle at 2330 hrs before he went to sleep.

But, when he woke up in the morning at around 0500 hrs today, the vehicle was found missing, Nitin Thorat, an assistant of Mr Anna Hazare said.

An offence has been registered and five teams have been sent in different directions to search the vehicle, sources added.
