AMC chief accounts auditor suspended

Akola, Apr 22 (UNI) The chief accounts auditor of Akola Municipal Corporation (AMC), B G Khedkar, has been supended by the State Government, according to official sources here.

Khedkar has been placed under suspension as a criminal complaint, filed against him while he was serving as chief accounts and finance officer of the Parbhani Zilla Parishad, is pending since 2004.

About three months back, Khedkar had been transferred from Prabhani Zilla Parishad to Akola as the chief accounts auditor in the AMC.

Incidentally, Khedkar was transferred to Akola to replace AMC chief accounts auditor Sanjay Bhagwandas Rathi. The latter had committed suicide allegedly due to the work pressure exerted on him by the then municipal commissioner, Sanjay Kakde.
