AIFTU, ICTU stage SEZ Virodhi Morcha

New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) All India Federation of Trade Unions(AIFTU) and Indian Council of Trade Unions(ICTU) staged a SEZ(Special Economic Zone) 'Virodhi Morcha' at Gandhi Peace Foundation here today, calling for the SEZ to be scrapped.

The morcha drew good response from youths, workers and intellectuals, according to a press release.

Starting with revolutionary songs, the convention was a culmination of street-plays staged across the city.

The meeting ended with demand for revival of sick industries, scrapping the SEZ, restoring the acquired land, the release added.
