Coonoor, Apr 21 (UNI) All the 74 shops owned by Tibetan refugees will down their shutters tomorrow in protest against the visit of a Chinese delegation to the Nilgiris district for the two-day Sino-India boundary talks.

Talking to reporters here, Tibetan Refugees Welfare Association President Paljor said all the shops, situated near the famous Botanical garden at Udhagamandalam, will be shut in protest against human rights violation by China against the Tibetans.

He said the protest was also to demand the release of young political prisoners languishing in jails in China. They also wanted China to support spiritual leader the Dalai Lama's peace initiative for Tibetans.

We want China to halt transportation of Chinese population to Tibet and the Chinese government should come to the negotiating table to resolve Tibet issues, he said adding that this should be done without any pre-condition.
