New Delhi, Apr 21: Police have arrested three persons, including the alleged Personal Assistant of BJP parliamentarian Babu Bhai Katara caught from the airport on way to Canada, along with incriminating documents supplementing their role in the trafficking of people.
Joint Commissioner (Crime) Ranjit Narayan told UNI that the arrests made last night were from three different places in Delhi.
''Rajinder Kumar Gampa, who claimed to be the PA of the Lok Sabha MP Surendra Lal Yadav, the local pointsperson of the 'gang' who would arrange visas, passports etc for people, and a lady Kiran who would brief and train women how to behave before immigration authorities as an MP's wife were arrested in three raids carried out last night.'' While Surendra was arrested from the house of an MP, the other two were picked from Connaught Place and the Railway Station, said another senior police official.
''Several incriminating documents defining their role in the conspiracy to send people abroad illegally were also seized from their possession.'' They were being produced before a local court today for custody to get to the bottom of the affair, he added.
