Telgi along with four others convicted

Bangalore, Apr 21 (UNI) Special Court today convicted Abdul Karimlala Telgi, the kingpin of multi-crore stamp paper scam, along with four others in connection with selling of fake stamp papers to a construction company.

Justice V V Angadi, passing the judgement said the quantum of punishment would be declared on Monday.

A city police station had registered a case in this connection in 1999.

Central Bureau of Investigation had filed the case and argued before the Special Court, following which the Court gave its verdict today.

The other four convicted are Mohammed M Sadiq, Badruddin, Hanif Khan and Ilias Ahmed.
