Summer rains bring relief to people
Hyderabad, Apr 21 (UNI) Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema in the last 24 hours, providing relief to people from summer heat.
The maximum temperatures were significantly below normal at a few places over Telangana, below normal over Rayalaseema and normal over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. They rose at a few places over Coastal division but fell at a few places over Telangana and changed little over Rayalaseema.
The highest maximum temperature of 39 deg celsius was recorded at Kadapa, the Weather Office said here today.
The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm were: Rajampeta 4 cm, Lakkireddipalli and Manthani 3 each, Addanki, Eturnagaram, Mulugu, Parkal, Mancherial, Rayachoti, Sultanabad and Thamballapalle 2 each, Badvel, Kamalapuram, Khanapur, Sirpur, Kuppam, Srungavarapukota and Venkatapuram 1 each.
Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema in the next 48 hours.
Hyderabad will have mainly partly cloudy Skyies. Maximum temperature will be around 38 deg C, the office added.
