PIB to have fourth 'Bharat Nirman' campaign in Jammu

Jammu, Apr 21 (UNI) Central Government's Press Information Bureau (PIB) will launch the fourth 'Bharat Nirman' Public Information Campaign in the newly created Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir from April 24, official sources today said.

Minister for Rural Development Jugal Kishore Sharma will inaugurate the five-day long campaign, while Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad grace the concluding ceremony on April 28, the sources said.

The campaign is aimed at creating awareness about the flagship programmes of the Central Government, namely 'Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan' (SSA), National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA), Mid-Day Meal Scheme, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme.

Besides, Bharat Nirman Yojana, schemes covering rural roads, electrification, drinking water supply, telephony, housing and irrigation schemes would also be highlighted.

Similar campaigns were earlier held at Kishtwar, Leh and R S Pura by the the PIB.
