No maoist connection to Nandigram massacre: Kanu

Nandigram, Apr 21 (UNI) Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today, naxalite leader Kanu Sanyal said Mr Bhattacharjee is trying to shed responsibility for the Nandigram issue by alleging maoists to be behind the massacre.

''There is no maoist hand behind the incident in Nandigram. the chief minister is trying to shield the police in Nandigram by putting the blame for the massacre on the maoists,'' Mr Sanyal said here.

He also accused the CPM for creating the maosit movement, especially in West Midnapore district.

''The maoists are former CPM activists, who were forced to leave the party because of the high handedness of some of the CPM leaders,'' Mr Sanyal added.
