Karat releases book on CPI(M) leader

Kochi, Apr 21 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Prakash Karat today released a commemorative book on former Kerala Minister T K Ramakrishnan on his first death anniversary here.

Addressing a gathering here, Mr Karat said Ramakrishnan was a true social reformer who reached out to the people as a legislator and A minister.

''The contributions of Ramakrishnan to the working class and peasantry were exemplary for other leaders of his era,'' he noted.

In his six-decade of social and political career, Ramakrishnan loved people and never lost his political moorings even though he scaled higher echelons of authority both in the government and the party, Mr Karat added.
