Jharkhand cricketer dies in Mumbai
Jamshedpur, Apr 21: Jharkhand cricketer Amit Kumar Singh died in a Mumbai hospital yesterday after sustaining a severe head injury on April 15.
Amit(24) went to Mumbai as a member of Tata Steel team to take part in the Inter-Steel Plant Cricket Tournament.
He met with an accident when a motorbike hit him as he was crossing the road along with two others and was injured critically, company sources said.
Amit was admitted to Bombay Hopsital but after fighting with his life for the last four days, he died yesterday, the sources said.
Cricket franternity, including Jharkhand State Cricket Association condoled the demise of the young cricketer.
Amit was a member of Jharkhand state Ranji one day squad two year's back and also represented the state team in Under-22,19 and 16 tourneys.
