Jammu, Apr 21 (UNI) After announcing qualification relaxation for gujjar and bakerwal youth in Central Para Military Forces, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha today assured reservation for students of these communities in upcoming model army public schools in Jammu and Kashmir.

Two army public schools modelled on the pattern of country's elite and top public schools were nearing completion at picturesque Pahalgam in Kashmir and border belt of Rajouri in Jammu division.

The school at Rajouri was set to be started from the current year while Pahalgam school would be ready by next year.

Continuing his visit of gujjar hostels, on the second day today, the Governor exhorted the inmates of boys and girls hostels here that education was the key for their empowerment and prosperity of the community as a whole.

He hoped the students would avail the facilities being provided by the state government and the army and pursue their academics with devotion and single- mindedness.

The Governor said relaxation in qualification for recruitment in CPMFs should not prompt the youth to abandon their studies and they must concentrate on professional and higher education.

He said the army was running 60 goodwill schools all over the state in which students of these communities could also get benefitted.
