Ganja worth 36 lakh seized

Lucknow, Apr 21 (UNI) Two persons were arrested with the seizure of 36 kg ganja, estimated at Rs 36 lakh in the international market, here today.

Acting on a tip-off, police reached the Hassanganj police station area near Pakka Pul and nabbed the miscreants, identified as Tinku and Sonu.

On being frisked, 36 kg ganja worth Rs 36 lakh was recovered from their possession.

On interrogation, the accused confessed that they were taking the consignment to Jhansi from Padrauna in Kushinagar district, police said.
