Hyderabad, Apr 21: E2 Labs and National Anti-Hacking Group (NAG) today announced a collaboration to create awareness about cyber security to bring down the increasing cyber crimes in the country.

Addressing the press here, E2 Labs Chairman and Managing Director Zaki Qureshi said both the organisations would conduct seminars, training programmes and security summits to create awareness about the cyber security among students and parents.

Pointing out that altogether 1,752 Indian websites were defaced of which 39 belonged to the government organisations in June 2006, he said E2 labs and NAG had taken up the initiatve on a non-profit basis to protect India's websites from hacking.

Mr Qureshi said the two organisations were planning to organise International Information Security Summit (IISS) in the second week of September. The venue for the Summit would be finalised shortly.

NAG Founder Vineet Kumar said creating a mass awareness on possible threats from hacking would reduce the percentage of defacement of the websites in future.
