Devotee donates 1kg gold to Lord Venkateswara

Tirumala, Apr 21: A devotee has donated one kg of gold bars valued Rs Ten lakh to the Lord Venkateswara temple here.

Tirumala-tirupati sources said the devotee from Kochi in Kerala, who did not wanted to be named, handed over the gold bars to the Temple Joint Executive Officer G Balaramaiah.

Two other devotees Rangarajan and Viswanathan from Chennai, donated golden 'Lakshmi Haram' worth Rs 5.5 lakh to the TTD.

While handing over the Haram to the Temple Deputy Executive Officer Vasudevan, the devotees requested the officer to adorn the the haram to the idol at the Govindarajaswamy temple in Tirupati, the sources added.
