Arrangemets made to lift sugarcane

Bijapur, Apr 21 (UNI) District Administration has made all arrangements to lift sugarcane from various villages to sugar factories in Maharashtra.

District Commissioner of Bijapur V B Patil said in a press note that a factory situated in Jatt has agreed to crush 1500 mt of sugar cane daily.

Vehicles to transport the sugarcane and workers also have been arranged, he added.

Factories in Belgaum and Bagalkot have also agreed to crush sugarcane even after Nay 10, he stated.

About 14 officers have been appointed to monitor the sugar transportation.
