AP airports to have night landing facilities

Visakhapatnam, Apr 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Commercial Taxes, Excise and Law Minister K Ramakrishna today said night landing facilities would be provided in the Vizag airport and also in the new airports coming up at Rajahmundry and Kadappa in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking at a round table conference on 'infrastructure of airport development and tourism', organised by the Air Travellers Association of India (ATAI) here, he said the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, along with various irrigation projects in the state, also planned to expand and renovate the Vizag airport with night landing facilities for the international operators.

The Chief Minister had written letters to the Defence Minister A K Antony and his deputy M N Pallamraju seeking necessary steps to be taken in this regard.
