Advani to participate BJP's Vikas Yatra in Udupi on Apr 24

Udupi, Apr 21 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani will arrive here on April 24 to participate in the concluding ceremony of Bharatiya Janata Party's Vikas Yatra.

Announcing this at a news conference here today, Karnataka Medical Education Minister V S Acharya the culmination of the 16 day-yatra, which began on April 9 at Davangere, would be attended by all ministers of the party from the state besides party's elected representatives, party workers and public.

The yatra, entering at Byndur, would be accompanied by state unit chief of the party D V Sadananda Gowda and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.

Dr Acharya took exception to the charges made by Congress leaders with regard to distribution of cycles to schoolgoing boys and girls and denied misappropriation of funds under the scheme as alleged.

Every process that led to the implementation of the scheme was total transparent and the bid was invited through open tender. The charges were "totally false and politically motivated", he added.
