9 killed as jeep falls in well

Lalitpur, Apr 21 (UNI) At least nine persons were killed when the jeep in which, they were travelling, fell into a well in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

Additional Superintendent of Police Lallan Singh today said the incident took place late last night. The jeep was also carrying relatives of Virdha Block Pramukh Jairam Singh Niranjan.

The bodies have not been fished out, Mr Singh said.
