4 killed as jeep falls into well

Lalitpur, Apr 21 (UNI) At least four people were killed after the jeep they were travelling in fell into a well in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

Additional Superintendent of Police Lallan Singh today said the incident took place late last night in the Jakhlaun area, when the jeep met with the mishap.

All bodies have been fished out and the deceased were identified as Parshuram Niranjan (72), Sitaram (45), Prem Kurmi (45) and Lokendra Singh (22).

The deceased also included two relatives of Virdha Block Pramukh Jairam Singh Niranjan, who were returning from a wedding ceremony.

Earlier, police had confirmed nine deaths.
