Two policemen nabbed by ACB
Aurangabad, Maharashtra Apr 20 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today arrested two policemen, belonging to the highway security police, Jalna unit, for allegedly collecting entry fee of Rs 200 from a driver from Andhra Pradesh near Wadigodri in Jalna district, about 75 km from here.
The ACB officials also seized about 150 passes, which were being used for issuing to each driver and symbolizing that the entry fee has been collected, according to ACB sources.
The sources said that following complaints regarding collection of entry fee' in such a manner, the ACB Aurangabad laid a trap near the Wadigodri chowki in Jalna district.
The two- head-constable, Shaikh Jalaluddin and constable Suresh Rathod, were arrested when they were accepting Rs 200 from Shaikh Shahwali, a resident of Karnul in Andhra Pradesh. A case has been registered against the two with the Godi police station in Jalna district, the sources added.
