TRAI releases QoS survey report

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Aimed at protecting the interest of consumers and improving the service in the telecom sector, TRAI today released the Quality Service Survey Report.

The survey titled 'Objective Assessment and Customer Satisfaction' was carried by an independent agency and came out with interesting facts.

According to the TRAI report, private service providers, Tata, Bharti, Idea, Reliance receive the maximum billing complaints.

The figures were calculated per 100 bills issued, the report added.

The BSNL and the MTNL had the maximum fault incidences in a month. They also consume more repairing time.

The report added that excluding the BSNL's Kashmir circle, most providers did well in dropped calls.

The report aims to provide a view of the Quality of Service of the telecom sector. The survey covered seven companies providing basic service and 11 companies giving mobile services across the country.
