Special prayers for AbhiAsh at Ajmer Sharif

Ajmer, Apr 20 (UNI) Special prayers have been offered at Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti's dargah, seeking a happy married life for Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.

The khadims of Ajmer Sharif have already sent a chunari for Ash and holy threads (Lacche) for Abhishek a few days back, so that they are able to wear them during the wedding.

Abhishek's khadim S F Hasan Chisti said a special red velvet chadar was offered at the mazaar and prayers will offered for the success of the marriage and to save it from evil eye.

Ash's khadim Kutubuddin Sakhi conducted a special namaz ''johar namaz'' along with 40 people yesterday and then read the Quran for one hour at Aayat-e-karima in Sandli masjid.

Sakhi said Ash's brother Aditya Rai had requested that special prayers be offered at Ajmer Sharif for his sister's succesful marriage and to shield it from unwanted elements and evil eye.

He also requested that the blessed chunari be sent to Ash, which she is likely to wear during the marriage rituals.

Abhishek And Aishwarya are slated to get married today in Mumbai.
