SP sacks MLA, 38 workers for 6 yrs

Lucknow, Apr 20 (UNI) Taking stern action against anti-party activities, the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) today expelled an MLA and other 38 office-bearers and workers for six years from its primary membership.

The action was taken by SP General Secretary and PWD Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav, state unit SP Secretary S R S Yadav said here.

Those expelled belonged to Lucknow, Siddharthnagar, Kushinagar, Ballia, Banda, Jaunpur, Fatehpur, Maharajganj, Varanasi, Deoria and Gorakhpur party units.

Shraddha Yadav, MLA from Madiaon (Varanasi) has also been sacked.

On April 16 and 18, the SP had expelled a large number of ex-MLAs and office bearers for six years from the primary membership of the party.
