Six die as bus overturns

Jeypore, Apr 20 (UNI) Six members of a marriage party were killed and 50 injured, 17 of them critically, when a bus carrying them overturned near a bridge at Dhatra, about 100 kms from here today.

Police said nearly sixty members of the marriage party were travelling in the bus from Nabarangpur to Chhatishgarh when the accident took place.

All the six people died on the spot. The injured were rushed to the nearby Farandi hospital where the condition of 17 people was stated to be critical.

Senior district officials and a medical team from Jeypore have rushed to the site.
