Rotary Club offers a meal for Rs 2

Mandsaur, MP, Apr 20 (UNI) For 15 long years the Rotary Club here has been providing two meals daily for a mere Rs 4 to relatives of patients at the district hospital.

''The scheme began in 1991 to provide pure, vegetarian food so that the family members do not have to take the trouble of preparing food or purchasing it at high rates,'' explained Club President Dinesh Jain.

Coupons of Rs 2 each were available at the hospital's medical stores where relatives could obtain them on the recommendation of doctors. Several donors offered wheat, rice, pulses and cash.
