RCFL working on gypsum project

Indore, Apr 20 (UNI) The Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers Ltd is working on a project whereby gypsum panels would substitute bricks in buildings, the company's Chairman-cum-Managing Director and Fertilisers Association of India (FAI) President U S Jha said today.

''Subsidy is rising as there is no hike in selling price of fertilisers. I have written to all chief ministers to contribute to subsidy,'' Mr Jha, here for a meeting, told reporters.

Pointing out that urea was produced in India at about half the cost compared to its international value, Mr Jha added that the fertiliser industry has appealed through FAI that pending grants be paid.
