Rains or thundershowers likely in north eastern states

Pune, Apr 20 (UNI) Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim and Kerala and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, north coastal Andhra Padesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at most places in Assam and Meghalaya and north interior Karnataka and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh and Marathwada and at a few places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, east Rajasthan, madhya Maharashtra and Telangana.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana and Gujarat region and were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Madhya Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala and remaining parts of Rajasthan.

They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh and Telangana and were below normal in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand and south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Mainly dry weather prevailed at Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Punjab and heat wave conditions also prevailed in some parts of southeast Rajasthan. Hot day conditions prevailed in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana.
