Prajapatham Programme receives good response

Hyderabad, Apr 20 (UNI) The Prajapatham Programme which was started in the state from April 14, to know about the problems of the people in an interaction with them and take remedial steps, received tremendous response.

All political parties, officials, MLAs and MPs and Ministers participated in the programme. Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy participated in the programme in Krishna, Warangal, Kadapa and Mahboobnagar districts and the people in all parts of the state participated enthusastically in the programme, according to an official release here today.

The priority issues taken up for review during this programme included distribution of land for SCs and STs and also awareness about sheep insurance among the people.

Provision of infrastructure facilities to SCs, STs and BC hostels and drinking water work status in the state were other main topics were taken up.

Supply of power for seven hours and distribution of ration cards also found place among the relevant topics.

Review of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) and "Indiramma Cheruvulu" and formation under Indirakranti Padham were the other issues taken up.

UNI
