Police arrests 2 persons with Bangla taka and Ganja

Agartala, Apr 20: Two persons were arrested by police in Tripura's North and South districts respectively in connection with possessing Bangladeshi taka of 8 lakh and contraband ganja.

According to police sources here today, acting on a tip off Dharamanagar police in North district detained one Santosh Das along with the money from Kadamtala Motor Stand area yesterday.

On interrogation Das reportedly reavealed to police that the amount was given to him by another person to deliver it to a relative. However, interrogation was on.

In the other action, Enforcement Branch raided a house of one Arjun Das at Natunbazar area in South District and recovered a huge quantitiy of Ganja from him. Police arrested the accussed.
